Happy Holidays

We may need to change the name of our blog to The Poulsen Yearly since we hardly post periodically... Which is why posting about Christmas after the holiday has ended would be appropriate. So instead, I will try to start an early new year's resolution - blogging! Anyone of our followers who are left can hold me to it! I look back over the last 5 years of Rob and my marriage (yes, it has been 5 years...) and am sad I have hardly documented any of it. I decided it's never too late to start, but to make up for the last 5 years, here are the highlights (according to me and in no particular order) I would have liked to blog about and didn't...

- Getting married - yes Rob, remember that day? That was a fun day :)
- Graduating from grad school - since going was hardly a highlight
- Going to Japan - missing the last cable car down the mountain, the penguin cafe, sushi at the fish market, denied by a sumo wrestler...
- My sister and sister in law having baby girls
- Adopting two dogs
- Hawaii! And a helicopter tour!
- learning to ride a motorcycle
- sleeping on the floor in a motel 6 in Vegas - LOL
- Utah going to the sugar bowl and beating Alabama
- Learning to snowmobile - staying at scofield cabin in the winter...digging our way in
- daniel's summit - sleeping all day and watching the entire Indianna Jones trilogy
- Learning to cook food other than grilled cheese and Mac and cheese
- Thanksgiving at Amilia's
- Santa Cruz - roller coasters and sea lions
- Getting my braces off! Thanks Dad!
- Half moon bay October festival
- Auto shows in San Fran (I may have blogged about one of these...)
- Laguna Seca moto cross - the air show, the corkscrew, the insane traffic home
- hiking to Cubrant (sp?) lakes

It's been a great 5 years! Here's to documenting the next 50!

We Never Post...

How people post to their blogs (those not doing so for their career) regularly is complete magic to me.  We have so much to post about, and maybe that's the problem...too busy generating the raw content, never compiling the actual material? Whatever it is, I hereby make no promise whatsoever to get this blog moving again.  What I will promise is that there is nothing quite like an 85 degree day in the bay area, promise.  That day was today after 3 weeks of flood-level rain, and it was nice.

No, this is not today's nice day, it's Japan's 95 degree it's-so-humid-it's-basically-perma-raining nice day. And yes, don't let people fool you, any day in Japan is a nice day, even the swampy Labor Day ones.
